Learn About the Products

What are they?

Our products fall into a few distinct categories, each with its own unique properties.

CBD (Cannabidiol)

This is a non-intoxicating compound derived from the hemp plant. Unlike THC, it does not produce a “high.” It is widely used in a variety of products, including oils, edibles, and topicals, for its general wellness properties, such as promoting a sense of calm and relaxation.

THCA (Tetrahydrocannabinolic Acid)

This is a naturally occurring, non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in the raw, unheated hemp plant. In its natural state, it does not produce a “high.” However, when THCA is exposed to heat—through smoking, vaping, or baking—it undergoes a process called decarboxylation, which converts it into THC. It’s important to be aware of this conversion if you choose to heat the product.

Kratom

This is a botanical product derived from the leaves of the Mitragyna speciosa tree, native to Southeast Asia. It contains unique plant-based compounds called alkaloids. Depending on the dose, Kratom can have different effects, with some users reporting stimulating properties at lower amounts and more relaxing, sedative effects at higher amounts.

Hemp

Hemp is a specific variety of the Cannabis sativa plant. What legally distinguishes it from marijuana is its very low concentration of Delta-9 THC. Under the 2018 Farm Bill, hemp is defined as cannabis containing less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. This low THC content means that hemp does not produce the psychoactive effects commonly associated with marijuana.

Because of its unique chemical makeup and legal status, hemp is an incredibly versatile plant. It is cultivated for a wide range of uses, including its durable fibers for textiles and construction, its seeds for nutritious food products, and its rich concentration of beneficial cannabinoids like CBD and THCA, which are used to create the wellness products we offer.

CBD VS CBN

Understanding the Difference: CBD vs. CBN

When exploring the world of cannabinoids, you’ll often hear about CBD (cannabidiol), but what about CBN (cannabinol)? While they both originate from the hemp plant, they offer distinct properties and are used for different purposes. Understanding their differences can help you make a more informed choice for your wellness routine.

CBD (Cannabidiol)

CBD is the most widely recognized cannabinoid, celebrated for its non-intoxicating properties. It is a major component of the hemp plant and is found in a wide range of products, including oils, capsules, gummies, and topicals.

  • Primary Function: CBD is primarily known for its potential to support overall wellness, balance, and a sense of calm. It interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), a complex network that helps maintain balance and regulate functions like mood, sleep, appetite, and immune response.
  • Key Benefits: Users often turn to CBD to help manage everyday stress, promote a sense of relaxation, and support general well-being. It is popular for its gentle, balancing effects without any psychoactive high.

CBN (Cannabinol)

CBN, on the other hand, is a minor cannabinoid that is formed as THC breaks down over time, a process that occurs when cannabis is exposed to heat and oxygen. This makes it more prevalent in aged cannabis. While it may have some mild psychoactive effects, they are far less potent than those of THC.

  • Primary Function: CBN has gained significant attention for its potential to promote a sense of rest and relaxation. Many people specifically seek out CBN products for their calming properties, making it a popular choice for nighttime routines.
  • Key Benefits: Due to its potential sedative-like effects, CBN is often the star ingredient in “sleep” or “nighttime” formulations. It may work synergistically with other cannabinoids and terpenes in what is known as the “entourage effect” to enhance its calming potential.

In summary, while both CBD and CBN can contribute to a feeling of calm, they are typically used for different purposes. CBD is your go-to for daily balance and overall well-being, while CBN is often preferred for those seeking to enhance their nightly routine and promote a sense of deep relaxation. As with any wellness product, it’s always a good idea to start with a low dose and consult with a healthcare professional to see what’s right for you.
